Walker!

So, after going to the doc a few days ago to get my bandages removed, I can now officially WALK!!! How awesome is that?! I'm really happy, because hey, thats a lot of PROGRESS! :D I had to completely re learn how to walk tho, just like a baby. Bend's birthday party was a huge success! Such a blast! Big load of fantastic people! Couldn't have been better!

On the downside tho, my journal has gone missing. I havn't seen it for three weeks.. :/ Which sorta worries me, cause who knows where it is and who's hands its in?? EEEEPP!!! :( I really hope i find it soon. I have a lot to write about!!!

Birthday!!

WOW! An entire year has passes since we have lived here in Bend! Ohmygosh! And, I'M 16 TODAY!!! HOLY COW!! I never thought this day would come! :O YESSSS!! Drivers Liscense after this leg of mine heals! 2 days until I get my bandages off, then 2 weeks till I get to bend my knee at a 30 degree angle and can put a little bit of weight on it! YAY!! I'm so glad this is going fast!! :) Phew! Surgery looks like its healing really well! No more swelling, no infection, just healing! No pain either! Thank goodness!

Zoom Zoom!

I'm in a wheelchair now. My friend Kaitlin and I have an open block together. Today, we spent a lot of it 'Zoom Zooming' thru the halls of our school. Basically, when I say Zoom Zoom, and she's pushing, we just go at a full run/wheel through the halls. Why do we do this? One, its quite a thrill, and two, everytime we pass someone, I think we make their day.

No worries though. My wheelchair has a seatbelt. I make sure and wear it. It wouldn't be fun to get in a wheelchair accident or something drastic. Good thing that little seatbelt is there!

Owch.

So really, after examining my x ray a little closer, the docs determined that no, my femur was not broken at all! Instead, my kneecap is broken! The bottom of it, the part that fits between my two other bones, got sheared off, and would need surgery to fix. Two days ago, I went in for surgery. They had to screw the kneecap back together, which involved rolling my kneecap out to do so. That is SO gross! Every bit of the surgery was painful. Even the part where I had to get knocked out. Of course, when I was knocked out it didn't hurt, but getting knocked out hurt, waking up hurt, (I woke up hyperventilating! Who even does that?) So now I'm sitting at home, trying to recover. The pain is awful, but its supposed to get better today. Taking a shower is nearly impossible cause we don't have a bag or rubberband big enough to cover my entire leg. So its kinda difficult, but a shower is nessicary. I feel so gross. Uhg.
