Geekin' Hard
Alright. I'm going to take up a post, to be a complete and total geek. I'm not posting this to be fun of, so if you intend to make fun of me, save it for your journal. I'm posting this for those who keep their bit of hidden geek tucked away inside them. Basically, I was on StumbleUpon (if you haven't heard of it, then check it out www.stumbleupon.com) and I stumbled to this website - www.minecraft.net. Basically, its a 3D game (You can play creative mode for free) where you place, and destroy loads of different kinds of blocks that are different types of minerals and ores and soils and rocks and wood and you build yourself mines underground, and skywalks above, and houses on ground. During the day its a lovely scenery, with wild farm animals (cows, pigs, sheep, chickens) roaming around, you can climb up into the trees, and swim in crystal clear water, and just enjoy the scenery. But nights -- Hopefully you spent your lovely day building a fort or shelter of somekind, because at night is when the monsters come out, and you better protect yourself. I was playing this game with my friend Kaitlin the other day. We dug ourselves into a cave, and couldnt get out quickly. Suddenly I saw something, a little glimpse of something greenish above us. It fell into the hole. Suddenly we were both screaming and panicking. Quickly I shut the entrance to the big cave, but the creature was just on the other side of two rocks. It was making the grossest gurgly noises, and we just screamed more and backed away from the computer. That was my first experience of a Zombie. There are also Skeletons that shoot arrows, and these weird things called Creepers that explode, and the spiders. You can see the spiders from a long ways off, because of their red glowy eyes. Now, it isn't the graphics of this game that freak me out. No, its good old 1990's graphics, everythings cubic and not scary whatsoever, its the noises, and the sheer surprise if you fall into the clutches of a mob of monsters. All in all, my brother Sam and I are completely addicted to this game, and we can't get enough of it. Completely obsessed. Of course. :) I really suggest you try it. Honestly.
