So yesterday, I was downtown with my friend Nicole, and we were having a swell time! We were walking and talking and decided to go to Cuppa Yo, which is a frozen yogurt shop that is freakin' delicious, and so we walked the long, sweltering hot walk there. Now I know that I was probably getting pretty dehydrated in the hot sun, and wasn't thinking about it then. So then, I had already eaten a HUGE lunch that day. A avacado/chicken sandwich, a bowl of instant oatmeal, and a bagel and a piece of chocolate so I was already freakin' bloated. So then we get to Cuppa Yo, and I can't resist so I get this HUGE thing of FroYo and cover it in toppings of snickers, and heath bar, and strawberries, and rasberries, and chocolate syrup. And I eat ALL of it. And it was BIG. So then we walk all the way BACK to downtown, and I am so full, like its painfully full, and I just kinda wanna throw up so I would feel better, but also not cause barfing is like the thing I am scared of most in the whole world. So we walk through downtown, and get a big thing of water, which I chugged far too fast, and made it all worse. Then I start getting that feeling where you know that you are going to probably throw up, and you feel the sweatyness on your face and you get overly hot, and dizzy, and light headed, and super nauseous, (spelling?!) and knew, I was going to barf. So I'm in the middle of downtown, and I get up real fast and go lean over a tree cause I feel it, and I do a few dry heaves, but nothing come up, and this guy walks past and says "gee, I didn't think I was THAT ugly!" and I didn't hear him but Nicole did. I sure hope he said it jokingly! So I am like FREAKING OUT cause like I said, I HATE barfing with a fiery passion.
So then I finally get my strength back enough to try and stumble to the garbage can on the end of the block. Im like 7 feet away from it and a few big dry heaves come and I cover my mouth with my hand cause I think its about to come up, and some people walking by were like, "uh oh! you can make it!" and like trying to be all supportive. Then I am leaning over the trash can, but nothings coming up, and I am starting to feel a little better, and a girl from my school walks by and says, "Its alright! Everything is gonna be alright!" kinda jokingly like shes trying to make me feel better, and I yell back, "I'll be alright! I just ate way too much!" but the yelling does me no good so I let my head drop back to the garbage. But nothings coming out. Just burps. Lots of them. Finally I feel like I'm not gonna puke, and I sit down against against a tree and try to get my mind to stop spinning, and all the while my friend is just kinda standing there like, "uhh this is so embarrasing.. what am I supposed to do! ahh...!" and I felt so bad! Good grief it was SO embarrasing!! Uhg! Ha ha but it makes a fantastic memory! HAHAHAAHAHA! Stupid food.

Day at the Lake!
So today, my family and I and my grandparents went to Sparks Lake. It was a beautiful day of a lovely 73 degrees! Absolutely b-e-a-u-tiful day! We packed everything up onto the car (4 bikes, 3 inner tubes, and 2 kayaks) and drove off. Well the bike bringing was a bust. No bikes were allowed on the trails.. so that was pointless. Although they kayaks were fun! I was the first out on the kayaks, and I paddled out to a little island out in the lake. It was made completely of big rocks jutting out of the water. I docked the boat and climbed ashore. It was so pretty out there! Absolutely amazing! Eventually after exploring the island, I got back into my kayak and paddled away. Then I came back and ate. And had snickers bars. Oh yum! Wow, isn't THAT exciting. Heh heh.. Now the water in the lake is absolutely FREEZING. But I had been sitting in the sun for a while, widdeling away at a stick I had found, and was extremely hot. So i decided I was gonna jump in. I climbed out to a high rock that led to deep water, and was spazzing out cause suddenly, I didn't really want to get in that freezing water. But now this other lady on the other side of the little inlet of the lake that was kinda like a swimming hole was watching and cheering me on along with my brother, so I knew i couldn't back out. I counted down and jumped. Longest jump of my life. Well not really that long, but I sure had enough time for a lot of thoughts to go through my head. "oh noooo, here it comes! its gonna be cold! crap why did i jump!? ahh! THATS SO COLD!!!" and then i was in the water, and it was over my head. My head hurt so bad from the cold. It was so freakin icy! but once I had gotten over the brain freeze and eventually emptied my nose from all the icy lake water that had shot up it, it was really fun, and my body was so numb that I didn't even feel the cold! So i did some more rock jumping, and my bro jumped in, and it was all good! Finally it was time to go. I fell asleep partially on the way back, and now I am nice and clean, and know that Sparks Lake, is a SUPER fun lake to go and explore!

New Layout!
Don't be confused! This is still the one and only Kate Kennedy's blog! Pranks R Us! Just got a new layout! I like this one! Not as... Green..
And Life Moves On.
Drama, drama, drama. I'm done being involved with it. Yes, I know its very VERY difficult to avoid it unless I decided to be a hermit up in the hills, and I think that I am far too social for the hermit idea to work out, but there MUST be a way to avoid MOST drama. Drama at home, drama at school... what other drama is there? Driving drama? Yes, I will attempt to avoid that too.
But I'm totally, and utterly sick of it. So I think I'm just gonna avoid it. And somehow I will figure that out. And you know what? Its really not the end of the world, even though at times I did think it was. If it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger. And revenge isn't any good way to handle anything, although it may be the most funnest choice, its not the smartest, cause it will come back and bite you in the bum. I recently learned that forgivness is better, thanks to one of my closest friends. It works a lot better. As quoted by Mahatma Gandhi, "An eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind." Basically, if we just take and eye for an eye, then everyone just ends up unhappy and frumpy. Not anyones favorite two things.
I recently learned that rather than blow up and be a 'crazy person,' just write it down whats bothering you. And so I've been practicing that. So that is nice. Arguements cool down and are MUCH easier to just avoid all together. In fact, since I got back from camp last friday, everything about life here in Bend has generally just rocked, besides the fact that KMD is gone for SO long. Come back friend.
Oh my, I write so little on this blog lately. But when I do, its a lot huh. Ah.. maybe it all just piles up into a big jumbled mess in my brain, then it all spills out, and voila, I can think again. I'm ready to get more info into my brain now, thanks! By the way, just a little selfish moment here, I want more followers. How do some people end up with SO MANY followers, and then there are just these little blogs filling in the cracks? So confusing. I like these little ones better.

Obsessions... and collections.
My Obsessions:
> Lily Allen, Kate Nash, Lenka, Regina Spektor
> Food
> Magazines
> Harry Potter
> All music
> Memories
> Friends
> Family
My Collections:
> Magazines
> Books
> Harry Potter stuff
> Pencils and Notebooks
> Bags
> Clothes hangers.... I don't mean to collect them, they just all end up empty in MY closet!
> Prank Equipment (well no duh!)
And sometimes I will go to Target, buy a lot of cheap junk/comfort food, and hoard it away in my room... but is hoarding really collecting? I don't think so. Because I don't "collect" food, i just "hoard" it...
So how's life for you all? Good I hope! Hope your all hanging in there. Only a few more days of this school year! Can you believe that it is almost over? Today is my brothers birthday and I am SO excited! We got him some pretty sweet presents, and I made him a gnarly card! We got Ida's Cupcakes for him and we are all going to celebrate tonight! He's 12! :O When did that happen? Next year, ONE YEAR, he will be a TEENAGER! HOLY FREAKIN S WORD! Well anyways...
Finally the drama of Freshman year is cooling down and coming to a stop. I'm not entirely pleased with how everything turned out, but I am happy again, and thats what really matters? I wish I could help one person though. But if I even try to talk to them, or anything, I just get put down. I know I should feel anger toward them for what they have done, but I just can't. I feel more.. forgiveness I guess. And I am a person that just, likes to help other people. Its hard for me when I see someone who looks like they may be in need of help, and I just can't help them. I guess I ought to just cut them loose, and let them sort it out, and their close friends help them out. I don't know. I'm not a wise wise person. Sometimes I am, but right now, Im more.. confused.
NEW YORK! I get to go to New York in October!!! Do you KNOW how excited I am?! I've never been there before, and that is the place I've wanted to go to the most! I just absolutely LOVE all the Broadway shows, and lights of it that I see in the movies, and I can't wait to go and experience it for myself! Its going to be so great! Just me and my mom! It will be amazing! Eating primarily street vendor food, seeing shows, experiencing the museums (MOMA and Museum of Natural History), exploring Central Park, and what I personally cannot wait for, is to re do my version of "Thats How You Know" from Enchanted in Central Park. My own little happy place! I want to see the EXACT place where Giselle climbed out of in the movie Enchanted. I need to see that. Smack dab in the middle of Times Square. Oh yes, that will be the day. And this summer I get to go to Disney Land with my youth group, and then in 2 summers, my family MIGHT get to go to France for 2 months!! AHHH!! I've never left the U.S so this is BIG! And I will get to visit our French exchange student, Josephine! :D Woot woot!
Well, I think I shall go explore the many pages (News feed, profile.. and thats about it..) of Facebook. Have a nice day world!
